Day 1 - Lee Chong Wei, our national hero. (Beijing)

Hey, its my first day in Beijing, and I already cant wait to go back home. Well, we arrived at the Beijing airport by 7am, we didnt get a good nights sleep, cause the plane was rather stuffy and uncomfortable, we took the economy class. -.- It was an 1 hour drive from the airport to the hotel. And we stayed at the Hilton Doubletree. Then we went for a good breakfast this morning. Then we made a trip to the gym, the gym rather small, small for a gym that is, so 30 mins in the gym and the rest of the hour at the indoor swimming pool. It was great, really. So we didnt plan to go out till the next day, so we stayed at the room the whole afternoon watching sports, and doing our own business. Then came the Badminton Olympics....... Anyways, we watched the Badminton match with full excitement, hoping Chong Wei will dominate Lin Dan. About 15mins, Chong Wei was more like being dominated by Lin Dan, he read all his moves, and totally reversed most of his tactics. First set was 21-13, then we began to lost hope. Then the second set, was a total nightmare for Chong Wei. Then I just realised, the audience was totally against him, it was Lin Dan's home ground, his territory, where everyone supports him. It kinda looked like Chong Wei didnt try at all, or he was just shaken by the crowd. Anyways, the match ended at 21-8, i think. OHMYGOODNESS. I was as just devastated as the rest of the malaysian badminton enthusiasts watching the big match. I was like flabbergasted at Lin Dan's performance. Chong Wei totally wiped out, it was like he got hit by Hurricane Katrina. "..................."

Anyways, frankly speaking, whatever the odds are against Chong Wei, he is our national hero, he was the only malaysian to make to the finals, he got Malaysia, our country, a medal. And I'm proud of him. I salute to Lee Chong Wei, our national hero.
